Classic Matte Smokey Eye Tutorial

Classic Matte Smokey Eye Tutorial

A smokey eye can be created in lots of different ways, I'm sure we'll be exploring most of them here on this blog but I wanted to start with a true classic. A bright nude lid with a super smokey outer corner that gives such a sultry lifted cat eye effect to the eye.

You can truly make this look your own, leave out the liner, copy the technique with different tones or even pair with a red lip! This look can be adapted to suit anyone for any occasion, even brides.

I hope you love it! ❤️

SAOI Brushes used -

S04, S05, S07, S01 & S03

Pro Tips -

- Base is KEY! You need to properly prep your eyes for this look, if it starts to crease your blend will be ruined. I used Urban Decay primer potion, a bit of concealer and then made sure they were heavily set with translucent powder before starting.

- If you have hooded or smaller eyes this look will be beautiful on you but I'd recommend starting the look with our smaller brushes. Instead of starting with S04, S05 & S07 I'd replace with S03, S04 & S05 to make sure you get the same precise look.

Products used -

Huda Beauty black kohl pencil, Urban Decay black eyeshadow, Beauty Bay fiery mattes palette, Inglot gel liner shade 77, Babydoll lashes style 603.
